B-K Lighting Helps Make Southern California Fundraiser A Success

Even as dangerous wildfires moved across parts of Southern California, a team of golfers sponsored by B-K Lighting bravely teed off for a special golf tournament.

On October 6th, they took part in the the Annual Missionary Athletes International Golf Classic presented by the Southern California Seahorses and the Biola University Women’s Soccer Program.

Roger Gregston of Prudential Lighting Products says the wildfire situation near the Alta Vista Country Club in Placentia was only a minor concern while he was on the course.

“The tournament was successful again this year, albeit a little bit smaller than last year. We had a beautiful day with no fires interrupting anything,” said Gregston, whose daughter is a member of the Biola University Women’s Soccer Program.

Gregston played as part of the B-K Lighting sponsored foursome, which included Brian Smith, Joel Brandts and Ray Swartz of electrical engineering/design firm Konsortum1.

“We had a great time,” said Swartz.

This is the second straight year that B-K Lighting has sponsored a foursome in the tournament.

The event, now in its seventh year, raises money for the Southern California Seahorses' unique faith-based athletic programs that includes camps, community events, international tours and support of athletic teams.
